Dear UAMS Community,

In early 2020, we launched Medicine & Meaning and then if feels like we all got thrown in the COVID netherworld.
At the outside of the pandemic we added a 55-Word section and hoped to give our colleagues a venue for expression of the many feelings and emotions we all were experiencing.
The good news is that several artists in the UAMS team submitted their work in photos, images, poetry, fiction and non-fiction. The bad news is that we are now in November and a deep sense of exhaustion and frustration is culminating this strange year of 2020.
We at Medicine & Meaning hope these creative pieces will help remind ourselves of our powers of imagination, of our eyes for beauty, and our sensitivity for deep emotions.
Please spend some time with our writers, poets, photographers, and painters, and share the great UAMS creative talent with your friends and family.
